Product information "Wind Direction calibration, IEC 61400-50-1:2022, previously IEC 61400-12-1:2017"
  • During a Wind Direction calibration in accordance to the IEC 61400-50-1:2022, previously IEC 61400-12-1:2017, the wind sensor is slowly yawed for a whole revolution and back at a fixed flow speed of approx. 8 m/s and a fixed tilt angle of 0°. A stepwise calibration is possible, but not suggested by WindGuard. A continuous yawing considers the response of the wind sensor for each wind direction. For example, for wind vanes, the continuous procedure will find signs of wearing on potentiometers, even if the wearing affects a non-evaluated angle.
  • DAkks / ILAC accredited calibration laboratory according to ISO 17025:2018
