Product information "Calibration at varying air temperature"
Measurements of temperature-induced effects are performed in a climate wind tunnel. The whole wind tunnel is placed in an insulated and temperature-controlled chamber. Therefore, temperature-induced effects on the whole anemometer can be measured rather than relying on simple assumptions (e. g., for mechanical anemometers, temperature only influences bearing friction). |
For the standard procedure, the measurement is performed at an air velocity of about 4 m/s to 15.5 m/s with 2 m/s increments. The air temperature is varied from -20 °C up to +40 °C. The measurements are performed at ambient pressure and normally with temperature increments of 5 °C. |
On customer request, measurements can also be performed for a reduced temperature range and for a different increment size. |
